ALL ABOUT EVA

For as long as I can remember I have always enjoyed creating things, when I was growing up my dad would go mad at me for pinching all the fuse wire to make bridles for my action girl’s horse!

My working life has consisted of a variety of jobs, none of which I found particularly fulfilling because I wasn’t feeding my creative side - apart from my years teaching French. (Teaching mainly to primary and nursery aged children, which was absolutely amazing and only came to an end when I moved away from the area).

I started making jewellery, initially just for myself, because it reawakened my creative side and because I personally didn't wish to wear jewellery that I can see other people wearing. I saw some ideas online and thought “I can do that!”, then friends saw some of my work and asked for me to make some for them too, and so LunaWolf Creations began.

Why LunaWolf?

Because I love the moon and I love wolves!  The beauty of the moon shining over Staithes is breathtaking, and my spirit animal is a wolf.

I have been drawn to crystals for a number of years, so it made sense for me to use them in my jewellery alongside the leather. There are so many different crystals, I find it hard to remember what they are all for, so instead I just pause and let myself decide what I want to work with or wear. Sometimes I am even just drawn to a particular colour. A lot of my work is bespoke, so if you have an idea of what you would like, or see something on here that you would like but with different colours or a particular stone (birthstones for example), do please get in touch so that we can have a chat about what you would like.  Whilst I love the combination of leather and crystals, I do appreciate that not everyone has my love of leather, so I am happy to use waxed cotton as a natural alternative.

The jewellery making has had the added bonus of helping my hands keep their mobility, as I suffer with rheumatoid arthritis. I have days when doing anything intricate is impossible, my fingers just won’t do as they’re told, so if your piece seems to be taking a long time, please don’t think I’m not working on it!
